Showcasing the beauty of the Steam Deck's design, display and comfort.
Instead of showcasing the typical gaming experience, we wanted to take a fresh approach - highlighting the device’s sleek design and physical beauty in an abstract, dynamic way.
Early Stages
The process started with heavy brainstorming, drawing references from phone and tech commercials. Our storyboard direction was largely shaped by Somei Sun's work, whose approach to pacing and composition we found inspiring.
RnD & Exploration
There were a lot of unknowns going into this. Figuring out the sphere's shading alone was a challenge in itself, Yeseong Kim's Redshift tutorials were a huge help in achieving the look.
